It’s Important to Note:

  • This is a wonderful retreat for adults and regrettably unsuitable for children and toddlers on account of proximity to the stream.  If you wish to bring a babe-in-arms, for the time being you will need to bring your own crib and baby equipment.

  • To comply with government “Clean & safe” guidelines for stays during the pandemic, our cleaning protocol has been temporarily expanded.  To allow for this, arrival time on the first day of your visit will be after 4 pm (instead of after 3pm) and an additional cleaning fee of £30 will be added at the time of booking.

  • Please note that the ancient nature of this property means you will encounter low doorways and ceiling beams, a step down between the Living Room and the entrance to the kitchen, and some uneven paths that can get slippery in wet weather.

  • Although the cottage has wifi, there is no phone in the cottage and – as the cottage is in a valley – you may have to drive a quarter of a mile up the road and out of the valley (towards Stoke) to make or receive a call.  Some mobile networks (i.e Three ) can use the cottage wifi to connect and make calls.

  • If you wish to smoke, please step outside.  Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage.

  • Please do not feed the horses in the meadow on the far side of the stream.

  • The cancellation protocol can be viewed under FAQ’s in the menu.

  • Lost Property:  In most cases, the housekeeper will agree to return mislaid guest property via Royal Mail for the cost of postage & packing, plus a £20 fee.

  • Any bank charges for international payments (incoming payments and outgoing refunds) will be deducted from the holiday-maker’s refundable security deposit following departure.
